Disadvantage of Inerrancy #2

It makes it easier for a leader to defend their own abusive position as God's name is the ultimate authority to call upon.

Sadly the reformation didn't completely solve abuse of power it just merely made it easier for more people to abuse the power. A step in the right direction in my mind but we need even more equality.

And don't they just thrive on that. It goes hand in hand with the organization of religious thought, and I don't know if you have read any of Ellul's books on organizations? They all end up in the same place by design.

Sad, but true.

I haven't but maybe sometime. If that thesis is true it's a sad a frustrating thing. I had my hope in the Church to bring the kingdom of God into existence. I'm already realising that I cannot change the world, my world, with a global, overreaching bent, but have to act very very locally. I guess I'm not sure of the way forward. What would you guys think about trying to explore the way forward a little? DM

Always game – bring it on! Let's see what *emereges*

Like you, I have a global bent, but it's not popular it seems.

I heard a stat recently that a new blog appears on the internet about once every second. In such a sea of voices, local is likely the most effective approach.
